Dynamat for rear deck

I put a 10" JL W6 in my wife's car a few months back and everything sounds pretty good except I'm getting a rattle/buzz from the mid bass notes on the 3rd brake light housing. Rear deck does rattle. I was told by a member here to remove the rear deck and dynamat the whole metal section underneath and that would fix the rattle/buzz in the 3rd brake light cover.

Could I go in the trunk and remove the the carpet under the rear deck and dynamat the bottom side of the deck and get the same results vs covering it from the top side? Just thought there would be less chances of breaking something on the plastic deck or causing a new rattle from it not going back together 100% perfect lol. Any advise or help will be greatly appreciated!

Do a search. This has been addressed in previous threads, complete with DIY fixes. There is also a fix out at Acura.

I did a search and didn't find anything. Could you post the links? Acura is fixing a 3rd brake rattle or rear deck rattle?

Didn't search all the forums...it's the 4th or 5th topic down in "Problems and Fixes" Rear Deck Rattle

My deck is not rattling it's the 3rd brake light cover/housing! That's what I was meaning when I said I couldn't find anything on it!

Ahhhh. Misinterpreted! I haven't heard about the 3rd light rattle. And I've had enough little things with my ride!
