Has anyone figured out what the pressed down volume button does on the middle stack of dash? It doesnt mute or turn off the audio system.

 

Just press it again and it pops up, and is volume. If you use the steering wheel volume you don't need it.

 

It doesnt "do anything" it just pushed it back into the dash to create a flush appearance. I personally like to have it pushed back at all times so there isnt this ugly knob sticking out and just use the button on the steering wheel. It does confuse passengers though they usually reach for the ENTER button for volume

 

my wife prefers the knob over the handle volume but she does wishes it was on the other end of frame so she can do it while rides shotgun.

 

oh interesting, its just a way to hide the button i guess? lol

 

Yeah, and it does stick out far enough when pushed in to still adjust the volume, though it is much more difficult when pushed in of course.
