2 Channel Dashcam Installed
Just recently bought a BlackVue DR650GW-2CH. Just installed it with the Power Magic Pro (which manages the power to the dashcam during parking and cuts off the power if it gets to a certain voltage so that you can still start your car). Installed the switch near the buttons for the trunk and gas cap are.
So far the dashcam is great, quality is top notch and so easy to use with the BlackVue App. Can view the footage on the spot by turning on Wifi on the unit and viewing it on my phone. Can also save the footage to the phone as well. The front unit is FullHD 1080p, back unit is only HD 720p; however back unit still does pretty well at night even with my 20% tints (though you cant make out license plates at night but at least see whats going on). Dashcam also supports up to 128GB.
Paid $420 CAD for the dashcams including the Power Magic Pro. Here are some pics.

Yeah one is about $200. Completely hidden. I cant even see it as a driver cuz its behind the rearview mirror. Awesome that it has g sensors and flags events that are worth watching.

I just got mine installed today (same model as you)! I'm having problems getting it to recognize the proper time zone though (everything else works great)! I pick one of the mountain time time zones, and it 6 hours ahead of mountain time! There was no Alberta option so I picked "America/Yellowknife" which is straight north of me and runs on the same time zone, and it was wrong. Tried America/Phoenix and that was wrong too (by the same amount). Any ideas sillyjav?

Rear cam isn't same as front cam, so I wouldn't price them both at 200 each, doesn't work like that
You can buy the 1 channel system edition of this, for around 320 each
So I would price the rear cam at around 80 dollars.
Enjoy the dash cam!
Although, among with the dash cam forum crowd, never a fan of Blackvue lol
Been a dash cam user for over 2 years, won't leave the garage without it on

The 2-channel system he has is connected, costs around 400.

The rear cam is definitely not great but at least gives the viewer an idea of what is generally happening. Not really meant for getting license plates. For me, $400 for this setup is good enough for me. Depends on your preference.

My time zone issue seemed to have resolved itself after the cam was off all night. When I turned the car on in the morning, everything was fine.
Already captured one strange move with it.
EDIT: Can a mod fix my link? I can't figure out the proper way to parse it so that it doesn't post twice.

Good to know. I haven't bothered trying to update it. Did you have to undo the update somehow?

Have you also heard about the Blackvue Cloud? Apparently you can hook up the dash cams to a wifi router (in your car) and you can view the videos from anywhere in the world and check up on your car even from far away. Pretty neat but will require a wifi setup in the car; not sure if it'll be worth it for the extra convenience.

$200 for a Blackvue? B&H has the 600 for > $250. If you are getting something for $200 or less, it's either outdated or not worthy of your money.
Although it's nice to have a rear camera, the person hitting you from behind is always at fault.
Save your money and skip the rear camera.
I have a dedicated Blackvue DR600GW-HD in all three vehicles. I hope we never need to pull footage from them, but if someone rear ends me, it's going to be a slam dunk in regards to who's to blame.

For under $20 I bought a stand alone cigarette power supply and attached it to an existing fuse with an add a fuse then hid everything under the dash and routed the power wire up my A pillar trim and headliner. I know some folks will tap into the rear view mirror power supply which is also a stealthy install option.

Wrap the cord once around your rearview so that if it falls off the glass it won't pull all the cords down with it.

This is a old thread but I used this and it was fairly straight forward.
