Is there a discernible difference in fun on the V6 AWD vs FWD? I don't need the AWD capabilities, but if FWD V6 is full of torque steer, maybe the AWD makes sense?
731 miles on loaner so far, wonder if we hit a 1000 with it
MPG is up to 22MPG so far.
Noticed that on S it doesn't hold gears, but upshifts pretty quick. On S+ it is much better, but also doesn't hold gear, upshifts on its own.
Since the lever doesn't go to lower gears, is there a way to make it hold a gear ?

My dealer doesn't have any AWD models in stock, but does have 5 V6 models (today, as he said on the phone)

Also it shifts down automatically as well
Dealer is still waiting on parts for Wagon, so looks like we will be putting about 1000 miles on the TLX

I don't know if there's a huge difference between FWD and AWD, but I don't have any torque steer in my AWD. I don't know if I'll need the AWD much, but with the winters here I just like to have the peace of mind.
I have been getting 25 MPG and at the moment I'm doing a lot of in town driving so I'm very satisfied with that reading.
The sport and sport + modes will allow you to toggle between gears, but it will shift on it's own to prevent redline and it will downshift to keep the gears in the "appropriate" range. If you use the paddle shifters, it will upshift/downshift but sometimes if the computer senses the wrong gear selected, it will flash the gear number and then downshift to the next lower gear.
It's just something that you need to play with to try and keep it at the sweet spot.

It also automatically applies the parking brake if you use the brake hold feature.
When pushed the FWD version does have some torque steer which the AWD system eliminates.. My car was unstoppable this winter on the OEM Goodyears and actually performed better than my TSX with dedicated snows.

Well dealer seems to either have lost my wagon or doesn't want to give it back. they called and said I have TLX till next week. That is almost 3 weeks
I have 1350 miles on it now
MPG 23.9
MID 80%
QUICK QUESTION
What is the purpose of the "off" button on the head light switch? The car has the DRL on, and when on auto, it puts the headlights on . However, at night I can either turn on the lights or leave on auto. If I push back to "OFF" it just goes back to auto. Any thoughts?
(the car doesn't have the manual, otherwise I would look it up )

I understand it not allowing me at 85MPH to go from gear 8 to gear 1 (to prevent redline). But I don't like the computer upshifting when I don't want it to
Otherwise the more miles I have put on, the better and looser the engine seems to be. Seems to be opening up, if it makes sense.
One thing that happened two nights ago, there is a vibration now coming from the steering wheel. Not sure why. Maybe all the torque steer is adding up?
Given your experience, would you recommend the V6 over the 4 CYL?

Before I bought my current TLX 2.4 Tech I was searching for a barely used '13-'14 TSX 6MT as I had an '09 TSX 6MT that I loved. In a way, I'm glad I couldn't find a TSX that met my criteria so I raised my budget and went with a brand new TLX. The first few days there was definitely a learning curve with the 8spd DCT but now I love it. To address a few of your points:
1) While I agree the top part of the dash and door panels aren't Mercedes S Class luxury grade, they are quite a bit nicer (and softer) than the super hard plastic in my TSX in those spots. In addition, the graining of the TSX upper dash and door panels made it look cheap too.
2) There is a setting you can adjust to where the car will start from whatever IDS mode you last used, except for Sport+.
3) The second day I owned it I was craving some seat time to get familiar with it so I drove to Virginia Beach and back (400 miles round trip) and average 37-38mpg. While I understand my 6MT gearing was quite a bit different and higher, that mpg is 6-7 mpg higher than what I would have gotten out of my TSX gently driving on the highway.
4) Noise isolation in the TLX is light years ahead of the TSX, as it should be.

Well dealer called today, TSX wagon is still not ready. They are saying it might be a few more days
I have a feeling dealer doesn't want us to take the TLX back and just buy it
Another thing I found that I really liked the extra hooks by the rear door to hang something. Excellent idea to have the extra hooks back there!

Thank you. Since I have been playing with and driving a lot of miles, I have seen the computer flash, when I tried to get to 8th gear at low speed. LOL. It allows me to go to 7

So what are the updates? Did you get the TSX back or did you get the TLX??

UPDATE
TSX wagon is back to dealer AGAIN. SIGH.
We are back in another TLX. This one has NO NAV.
I love the interior color of this one. Not the white/beige interior we have in the lexus. This is a more dove color, like it.
God knows how many more weeks we have in this TLX. Picked it up with 11 miles.
For those of you who don't have nav, what do you use the top screen for?

What's wrong with your TSX this time? I had a 2007 TSX that I've owned for 5 years, only ever had to do scheduled oil changes and tire rotations. Not a single service otherwise throughout ownership.

A/C squeak. Idler pulley, new belts, tensioner. Acura regional is now involved.
Car has been to dealer 7-8 times in the last 10k miles. Each time stay has averaged 5 days or so. Longest been almost 3 weeks.
Buying a range rover would have been more hassle freee
Thank god for warranty. Over 5K worth of work (per dealer rates) so far.

Appreciate the kind words. Never had any problems with Hondas before. They all were, drive till 100k, timing belt. Drive till 200k, sell.
This one has been a nightmare. Ironic as I traded a 2013 Lexus hybrid for it (which was just too small with kids +double stroller).
I LOVE the wagon. The problems (even free/warranty) are just getting annoying as heck.
I see the acura service rep more than my family sometimes
