Winter driving

If you have room to store the extra set of tires, I wouldn’t hesitate. Will give you extra piece of mind for at least the next five winters. Got winter tires for our RDX for multiple trips to Ohio last winter, and when we did encounter snow, it was no sweat. And our 2013 only has Acura’s old school FWD-based AWD system. Our 2019 TLX V6 SHAWD hasn’t left VA and our mild winters yet, so still has OEM all seasons on it. I would expect it to have tank-like traction in the snow with a proper set of winter tires. Check out tire rack.com, they have what they term “performance” winter/snow tires.

There is no substitute for snow tires in the white stuff. If you have the room and the coin - dedicated winter tires/rims/TPMS is the way to go. We have winter set ups for both our RDX and TL-S, but we came from MA. Didn't put the snows on the RDX last year as it has all season tires and are now in VA, but have to on the TL-S as I have Summer tires. I also have a 3 ton floor jack and jack stands and use these to do rotations and seasonal swaps in my garage. No need to bring tires to a shop to demount one set, mount the second and rebalance twice a year.
