Will Acura Offer Replacement Vents in Black?
#41
Bob Continental...Takes for taking the time to upload and share your replacement parts with us. It looks pretty good if you ask me. In fact, I think I like this replacement part better...

But could also take a pic of the whole dashboard? Just wondering how the end vents look in all black with the center vents chromed.
Thanks in advance.

^^ I agree, and in my previous post, I meant to to say "THANKS" and not "TAKE".

Maybe I should have said the "black vents" along with the "chrome molding" is reflecting off the glass.
And like the previous poster said, glass is reflective, who woulda thunk it?

I will take a full dash picture and post as soon as I can. I personally believe that the benefit of no reflection outweighs any appearance issue.

Is this thread seriously still going??? I can see people complaining about transmission issue but dash vents? Seriously folks, get over it. If you are focusing *through* the windsheild on where you're driving vs. focusing on the windsheild itself it's not an issue. Most every vehicle I've ever driven will produce some kind of mirrored image of dashboard, trim, etc if you stare at the windsheild looking for it. If it's that bothersome, try tinting your windows or get a pair of polarized sunglasses.

?? why u mad. Looking at the picture, the black grill is reflecting off the glass. Not just the chrome molding.

That picture actually proves that no matter what color the trim was, in certain angles, and lighting, you are going to get a reflection in glass, and no other automaker is using any kind of special nonreflective coating on the inside of their windows.

This is not like a shiny armoralled dash reflecting in your windshield. If your focal point is the window, you will see the reflection, if you are actually looking at the sideview mirrow, your focal point is farther away, and the reflection is barely noticeable, but the user's level of OCD will vary. I am very OCD about certain things, but this one is a non issue for me.
As far as polarized glasses go, I love my Maui Jim's. Once you get a pair, it's tough to imagine going back to lenses that are not polarized.
