Reasoning behind white TLX and NO tan interior???

I have a white/tan 2006 TL and will be purchasing a new car in the next year.

I'm really disappointed with Acura's lack of interior color options in the new TLX.

How can they not offer a tan interior for the white model???

I'm not a big fan of the espresso look. I've noticed it's a new trend and IMHO it looks gaudy and cheap.... IMHO.

I don't like grey leather and black is totally not an option since I don't want 3rd degree burns in the summer.

Anyone else a little miffed???

You won't get 3rd degree burns from black leather v. other colors. Black does not get hotter than other colors, it just gets hot quicker.. hot is hot. Tan at 160 degrees will burn like black leather will.. just letting you know

Ventilated/cooled seats also help

I hear ya, but why would they not offer this? They have tan for other colors. I wonder how popular that color combo is? All of their competitors' models have white/tan.

I'm kinda leaning towards the RDX now(got 2 kids/car seats). I really want to stay w/ Acura... I love my 06 TL.

I was always a grey interior person, but once I went black I never went back ;-) It is truly one of the easiest colors to maintain and keep looking nice and new. Also tint your windows and you will be fine. The steering wheel is far hotter than the seats with my windows tinted.

Not in Houston my friend. I had my windows tinted to the darkest shade legally allowed and still stepping into the car was like a entering a furnace during summer time. As you can probably guess, i have black interior too.

You can get Greystone which is a light color interior with the white exterior. In my experience, Parchment is slowly going the way of Harvest Gold or Avocado appliance colors. As you noted, colors trend up and down, what can you do?

Yes colors do trend up and down, but one leather color that will always be classic is black. I've never really been a fan of lighter colored leather interiors.

There are colors offered in one country not offered in the other and vice versa. There is no graystone with white, for example in Canada. And yes, your response is predictable. lol.

I like that color combo too. I've been going back and forth on the Espresso. My wife likes it, sometimes I like it, sometimes I think it looks like a chocolate bar. Also not sure why Red/Parch isn't available on the V6 Advance.

this is true....!

Houston here too and black leather seats ARE hotter...by a ton versus tan leather.

Ah, another one of the mysteries of Acura! I have a 2014 RLX (after 5 TL's). Bellanova white with the light taupe interior. My previous Acura was white/black and didn't notice any difference in the interior heating up. No clue why they would limit their appeal with such a simple move like offering a beige interior - but remember - this is the company that is adamantly stuck with their "beak" nose after the outcry in 2009.
