Acura offers rear parking sensors for the TLX as an accessory, but installing it is functionally different than getting them included as part of the Advance, Aspec, or Elite trim levels. When it comes from the factory, there is a visual indicator on the backup camera display, as well as a system on/off button. The accessory kit, however, only allows for a trunk-mounted beeper; no visual display, nor on/off control.
It seems strange that Acura wouldn’t provide all the parts to hook it into the factory harness to get the true functionality as a factory-delivered car.
Has anybody ever figured out what parts, and what’s involved to get the full-blown experience, rather than just the accessory “beeper”?

So I used to work at an Acura dealer in sales. I remember we installed parking sensors front and rear on a 2020 TLX base model. To the best of my memory it did have the sonar showing where the beeping was coming from. So maybe something to look into? Did you ask your local dealer if they could do it?
