Wheels. Rear wheel actuators. Over 8000. My car has 91000 miles. I’m devastated. Acura has a service bulletin for the tlx my year but no recal. RLX Acura extended warranty. I thinks something with this PAws thing. I’m calling dealership tomorrow and corporate Acura. My car is meticulously maintained. This should not happen. Any advice very much appreciated

I did a doubletake reading your posting. Your car is 9 years old, with "91,000" miles. Components wear out, and with your car's mileage and age you, or somebody, clearly got great use out of the car. I'm struggling to understand what your complaint is, and by extension, why you think the dealership and/or Acura should be footing the bill. Whatever the outcome I hope that you'll post the outcome of your quest on this site. Best of luck!

Obviously it is time to get other opinions besides the dealer. Find an independent shop that work's on Honda/Acura vehicles.

$8,000 is an insane amount.
I have not heard of many actuators failing, maybe one other.
I have had 2 TLX V6 FWD, one with 115,000 miles and my current 2015 TLX V6 FWD Tech with over 155,000 miles with no problems.

The actuators are 3100 a piece. A coworker with same model as yours has the same problem. She has been driving it with all the alarms going off.

you can also check with different auto parts venders online, for an ex Paragon offers rear steering actuators for $2,200 Acura brand. An independent repair shop should offer other options.

Is it possible to just replace the one failed actuator instead of both?

They said both. How does this happen. Really regular wear and tear. I feel like tlx 2015 has same issue as RLX but those were recalled
