Question on '15 TLX

![Question](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I had a 2010 TL SH-AWD Tech that was totaled 2 weeks ago. Near head on at about 40MPH. Both my wife and 3 year old are in the car and walked out without a scratch.
I loved my TL, so decided to go with a similar car. Got a 2015 TLX, SH-AWD, Tech for $36,500. Okay deal I hope?
One Question:
I noticed that automatic engine idle shutdown kicks off right after I stop, but kicks on when I shift from Drive to Park. I then shut the engine off. That an extra engine stop/start. Can I just turn the engine off while the shifter is at "D" while automatic engine idle shutdown is on?
Thanks.

Does that $36.5K price include taxes, destination, handling, etc.? If so, I would think that is a great deal on a SH-AWD w/ Tech but that's just me.. is it because it is last year's model?

Yes, you can press the engine start/stop button while in Drive. The idle stop function doesn't even need to be active or triggered. The car will automatically put itself in Park. If you have Brake Hold enabled, it will also automatically apply the parking brake, I think. One of the advantages of the push button style shifter :p

Actually it does not include Tax (6.25%) and deal fee ($299) and registration ($80). It came out to be $39160.
I got it at end of Dec 2015, and it has about 200 miles on it.

Cool, that's good to know. Thanks.

As mentioned yes you can just turn the car off in drive and it will automatically put itself in park
Also, if you do not press the brake all the way down and just barely press it so the car doesnt roll it will NOT turn off
And also if your in drive (unrelated to the auto start stop) and you unbuckle and and open the door then it automatically puts itself in Park
