Just in case you didn't know, the 9 speed transmission will not go into neutral if the motor is not running.

This is a big issue if the car won't start and it has to be towed and dollies are not an option.

Some vehicles with electronic transmissions have emergency rip cords in the cabin that will put the transmission into neutral. Acura's don't have this feature.

If you try to move or tow a car with the transmission in park you will damage it and the warranty will not cover repairs.

To put a 9 speed Acura into neutral when the engine will not start, you turn a small shaft on the transmission counterclockwise about 15 degrees until it stops, using a small crescent wrench.

Don't forget to set the parking brake at the destination or reset the transmission to park by turning the ignition on and pressing park.

WIth the honda units before with no power it was the same. There was the shift lock release next to the shifter where you have to press the button with a key and shift into N manally.

The 760 I have has a ribbon that you need to unfold from under the dash and pull to get the car into neutral, and an allen wrench set + extension to manually turn the electronic parking brake into the off position. Acura's design is way better than the old ZF one.
