Hi all,
Hope someone can help me. 4yrs ago I installed fog light but today when I went for car inspection, they fail me on safety. I went to the same shop for the pass 7 years and now they just realized. My fog light is on when high beam is on. The fog light is connecting to an on/of switch.
What wire do I need to tap to so that when high beam is on, the fog light cutoff?
I saw a low beam headlight fuse, will it works if I tap to that fuse?
Or any wire harness that just plug and play to help resolve my issue?

you need to add a relay to the fog light power wire. The "trigger" to shutoff the power via the relay is the high beam switch. When you turn on the high beams, it will make the new relay shut the fogs off, and turn them back on when you turn the high beams off.

Thank you for the link. I have not yet get a chance to install relay due to cold weather. I just want to be sure on connecting the relay per link diagram. I understand about ground and fuse. so we can skip this part.

Pin 30 Connect to car battery in between fuse
Pin 86 Connect to on/off switch (this switch I added a "add-a-fuse" and plug to accessory fuse)
Pin 87a Connect to fog light wire
Pin 85 Ground
Pin 87 Not use per link diagram

Is this sound right? It will cut-off fog lights once high beams is on?
