Part number for 2018 aspec elite side mirror
Hi Everyone,
I have a aspec elite and my drivers side mirror has micro scratches on it. I want the mirror replaced. Does anyone know the part number for the dim-able side mirror? can it be fixed the micro scratches. ( in the dark lights in the back hit the mirror and i just see scratches. its quite distracting to see that when trying to change a lane. Please note im in Canada and would want canadian pricing. Dealership says who mirror assembly needs to be replaced.
Any input will help
Thanks!

I assume you mean the mirror itself is scratched? If so, there are a few forums that I found that mention materials to polish out the scratches, with somewhat mixed results. However, mirrors are very thin and you can easily create dull spots. Another alternative is to see if a third party manifacturer carries dimmable mirrors that would fit the backing on your TLX mirror. It would then be a DIY project, with several connections to worry about - lots of videos out there. Otherwise, you would have to replace the whole assembly, which is a pricey option.

Maybe the dealership is just lazy then? yes the mirror itself has many little scratches from something? but the glare bothers me when driving with the scratches because it blinds me even more..... Plus the dimming works in only certain situations..... Wish they went back to the tinted mirrors they had on the tl's.....

First I would do pour some water of those scratches if they disappear in water that means they are in the clear only and that can be buffed out easily but the scratch is still visible when you pour water that means that it is in the paint so you need to either re-paint it. or you can just change the back colored section which shouldn't be that costly as compare to the whole mirror. Hope this help.
