I'll attempt once again to justify my reasoning (although I don't really need to because I'm happy and that's all that really matters). I don't live in North Carolina. I live in Northern Indiana. I drive my car almost every day. Rain, shine, and snow. 100 degrees to -20 degrees. Clear roads, wet and muddy roads, roads with salt and sand in winter, and lately roads with tar and gravel. I am happy I spent the amount I did to give my car what I feel has been excellent protection to this point and others didn't spend anything except on occasion the wash, wax and dusting. I've gone that route before and it made for more work when I had to clean those vehicles.
I'm not trying to get into any kind of war over the pros and cons of coating vs. regular wash and wax. I am simply trying to offer my real world impression of this product I have purchased to anyone who may be interested in this alternative.
By the way, those are some mighty fine looking vehicles, and you obviously enjoy keeping them pristine.

Well, I have a perspective too...
My wife's car, a 2012 SRX had the "dupont treatment" done to it, and I find that it's held up exceptionally well to the South Florida sun and rain even with only an occasional wax to preserve it.
I think the more the merrier...
I recently purchased my own black Caddy that looks like it may have seen some car wash places...and I'd like to add that level of protection to the protection. If we're starting off with ultra sheer condoms over the lambskin ones of yesteryear, I'd wanna make sure it stays as protected as possible.
So swirl free, opticoat then polymer sealant on top of ALL THAT.
