New to me 2020 TLX Tech!

Good day all!

Traded 2016 Accord Touring V6 w/168k on the clock for 2020 CPO TLX Tech, Modern Steel w/11.5 on clock! Feel I got good purchase price. Feel pretty good about change after couple days of running site visits for work. Mostly same features between the two cars, lost parking sensors and driving lights, but gained tilting side mirrors when backing and MUCH better functionality of tech side. Of course, very noticeable improvement overall in driving and general performance.

9 speed trans is great despite bad reviews. Really overwhelms the tires when floored! Definitely like the paddle shifters and Dynamic Mode!
Handles, rides better.
Quieter! Was on job site with car running, no radio, couldn't tell it was on but for tachometer.

Have a set of Sparco wheels to mount once current tires are worn out. Pics below. Had these on Accord (Kona Coffee Brown) for couple months before trade in. Think the bronze color will go well!
No real mods planned, put far too many miles on 'em to fiddle with significant changes. K&N air filter, maybe better brake pads. Maybe some personal aesthetic additions. Already have appointment for window tint. Pics are after couple hours with polish and waxing.

Welcome to Acurazine! Congrats on the new ride. What other cars have you had in the past?

Congrats! By the final model year all the bugs have been worked out, to include the transmission. Have no issues with it in our 2019, but some folks can never forget.

Had a great 2002 Grand Prix that I had Squires Turbo System, turbocharged. Fun ride! Fast in the 1/4 mile.

Boring Altima for 220k miles.

Other current is 2022 CX-5 Turbo. Pretty good SUV. Which are my least favorite vehicles. This is why my wife is main driver.

Congrats on the new TLX it looks good! Tech package is the best value for money you get apple car play, heated seats, navigation and then some plus the power of the V6 it’s a good all-around sedan that should last you for years to come with regular maintenance

Some red lacquer touch up paint, couple coats. And now we have a pop of color!

Thinking silver double pinstripe down the sides soon. Windows tinted tomorrow, one step darker than "legal" percentage. Ceramic UV/heat blocking type.

Congrats! IS there much of a difference between your V6 Accord and this TLX, in terms of ride quality, NVH?

I say in general yes. Keep in mind, Accord had 167K on the clock so there was some suspension degradation. The car seems more solid, is quieter and pulls better with 9 speed transmission even though they supposedly have similar 0-60 times.
