Moved from a 2015 Elite to a 2017 Elite
I was at the dealership two weeks ago getting the car serviced and ran into the sales lady that leased me my 2015 Elite. She asked me if I was still unhappy with the transmission which I had mentioned to her a couple of times. I told that I found it more and more annoying. She said to give her 10 minutes. She came back and offered me a new 2017 Elite on a 4 year lease (I was 26 months into a four year lease) for $5 more a month than I was paying for my 2015 Elite. They also have a promotion now with 30 months/50,000 km of free scheduled maintenance. I asked her where do I sign. Got the car Saturday. What a difference. I did not realize how much I was anticipating the rough shifts when I started from a stopped position until they were not there. My only real complaint about the car is gone. Not only is the shifting smooth but it is much quicker downshifting when I go to pass another vehicle. The only other difference I have noticed is that one must go through the main voice portal to access voice recognition. There is no direct access to, for example, by pressing the voice recognition key and saying "Radio tune to 1010 am". This is slower but I am finding that the voice recognition seems to work better this way. I am still somewhat annoyed that in Canada we cannot select place names in navigation when the car is in motion. Well Acura has me tied up for another 4 years but this car drives much more like the car I expected to have when I got the 2015 Elite.

Great that Acura is making things right with you. It only took them 2 years and I'm sure the value of the car is less now than 2015 so from their perspective they just extended your lease 2 more years. But it worked out for you. The car is decent but the transmission is a deal breaker.

Ha, if they offered me a 2017 it would have to be substantially less expensive, that is how unhappy I am. Even if they just swapped out my 15 AWD even Steven I would laugh unless they preserved my existing October 2018 lease end date. I would toss this thing in a second. If I were in CA I would park it widows down under a pending mud slide ;-)

Can't pass up on that offer, hate to be stuck with a car that your unhappy with. And it isnt' too bad since its a lease but lease offers on ILX and TLX are great.

lol @ Keith. I bought mine outright and don't plan on getting rid of this worthless transmission for a while. They keep sending me emails to sell them my car and "trade up" to a 2017. LOL. Oh can I please? All the great changes and advances going from a 2015 to a 2017... can I? can I?
