Lock confirmation beep

Has anyone else had trouble with the confirmation beep that is supposed to sound after locking the doors by remote? I press it twice and the doors lock and lights flash but there is no beep. Using the MID>Vehicle Settings>Keyless Access Setup, I have ensured that Beep and Beep Volume are set appropriately (On, High). While not a big deal, it is certainly driving me crazy!

When you are outside the car, you press the remote's lock button once to lock doors, twice for the confirmation beep, right? I think there must be something wrong with mine.

Try a short delay between presses.

That didn't work either, Colin. I have also tried using both remotes. The red alarm indicator does blink once doors are locked. I have found threads on here where others have reported the exact same problem on the TL. It seemed like there was an issue with the wiring or "speaker" itself. I'm going to have them check it out when I bring it in for tint application on Monday.

Dealer didn't set the preferences to beep?

I took it to the dealer today and apparently a "cable" was not connected by the factory for some reason. I initially thought maybe it had something to do with the dealer install of the fog lights but they said it is in a totally different area of the car. The settings were defaulted to beep already. In any case, it's fixed now!

Glad to hear they treated you well at CL! That beep is a nice peace of mind to have.
