Gas Mileage!

Cool, thanks! I just want to make sure my car doesn't have more problems. Already got problem with the tranny, which some already been thru. Brucelandry1 posted up his avg after filled up, which is pretty good. My extended hwy drive is avg around 39mpg eco and normal mode.. I wish that was the overall avg hahaha.

A full trip gave me 33mpg at 70mph, my TLX AWD is rated EPA 31mpg. 9-sp., direct injection and running on 3-cyl. help.
Since I only put regular, 13% cheaper than premium HERE, that is the equivalent to 37mpg, I have the same fuel cost as most imported 2.0T.
'Screw them.

Although local numbers are always less than highway, they are certainly not poor. They are poor in comparison to what? - other cars with smaller displacements? The problem with quoting numbers for city driving is the huge variance between conditions - urban vs suburban, off hours vs rush hour, number of stops, etc. I get better to or around the 9.6 l/100 km rating for most city driving, unless i have a lot of traffic and rush hour driving, which usually gives me a 10 - 10.5 l/100 km rating. under similar driving conditions I almost do as well as with my 2014 Altima 2.5 litre 180 hp with CVT. Again, I would qualify my comments that unlike my highway numbers post, my city numbers are somewhat less robust in terms of collection methods.

I can vouch for that -- My 2010 TL on my daily commute gets me 14-15MPG while my 2015 TLX V6 Loaner car (had multiple TLX V6 loaners) all consistently got me 19-22mpg. Just for comparisons sake, i4 TLX got me 22-23, 2016 ILX got me 23, 2016 RDX got me around 20, and 2015 MDX got me around 16. I tend to have a heavy foot, but the traffic on any given day does vary. Just the gas mileage alone is killing me in my 2010 TL.

You must have an aggressive driving style as this is what I would get with my 4G TL and this is what I get on average with my IS350 (AWD)....From what I read here, TLX owners were getting much better fuel economy than that of the TL.
Mapleloaf...WOW! Those are amazing fuel mileage for sure!! I think that I should consider a I4 TLX with a bodykit cause quite frankly, I don't need a V6 as I do mostly local driving. I do love the power once in a while but I don't need a V6

I do. I floor it a lot. SH-AWD is too much fun.
I've done the more conservative driving style and under those conditions average 8.8 L/100km in the city only. On the highway I get about 5.8-6.2 L/100km, consistently.

You yup. I think it more of 80/20 of city/hwy for me now. I can barely make to 340 miles before I have to fill up.

I recently drove to work and got over 36mpg, about 30 miles almost entirely highway with hills, full tank and tires starting at 35psi front and 33psi rear, cruise control set at 70 for the first 23 miles or so and then off. I tried to take a picture but apparently the B trip monitor is not captured in the Info display on the console, only on the MID. Amazing.

Like I've said numerous times before; when this car is right, it rocks; 36+ MPG, with a 290 HP V6 engine
After my tranny replacement, I'm back to being impressed
Of course, there's no excuse for the thousands of other TLX 9 speed owners, who haven't been approved for replacement
On the other hand, there are numerous drivers, too dumb, blind , or ambivalent, who
think the transmission is fine; to each his or her own!
i knew after driving my buddy's 9 speed MDX, that my TLX was defective
Clear sailing ahead; hopefully!
