Floor Jack Lift Points...

Floor Jack Lift Points...
Hi everyone,
Spring time is in the air, and I am jones-ing to change my tires to the Michelin Super Sports I have in my garage...
On the two previous TL's I could lift the front of the car using a central lift point in the front middle of the car, and could lift the back of the car using the rear tow hook.
Does anyone know if those points are still acceptable for use with a floor jack on the TLX?
I have checked the owners manual and searched here. The owners guide only lists the side lift points, and the only references here seem to be people asking the question, and people answering "check the owners manual or use the search feature".
Thanks in advance.

qwxilvr, since you are VERY familiar with the front and rear jacking points of past Acura's, go ahead and take a look at the front subframe!
see if that familiar rectangle mounting point is still there!
i suspect it is.
and just like your past acura's the tow hook will be the rear jacking point.

Well, I just got back from the garage, and this is what I found:
You can see there is the sort of raised rectangle on the cross frame.
My first impression was that it looked to be a little far forward compared to 3 and 4 gen cars, but lending credence to the notion that it has some strength is the fact that Acura has provided a front tow loop welded to or just either side of that raised section.
Now, the bad news for me... While I have these just sitting begging to be put on the car, and temps lately have been in the mid to high 60's the forecast is calling for temps in the mid to high 30's with rain turning to snow with temps not expecting to get above 60 degrees in the 14 day forecast.

qwxilvr...While I feel for you, you guys have had a MUCH better winter than we did out east so you will get little pity from me. That being said, you will get some envy from me out of those gorgeous tires/rims! Man these are sweet and having seen them on a TLX, I know how GORGEOUS they look and make the TLX look so much more aggressive....Pics don't do them justice!

I agree with weather. Those rims are stunning on the TLX.

So yesterday I did the winter tire change over... I used the "traditional" centre front and rear floor jack lift points... Worked a charm... Hate vehicles that don't have the center jack points (friends MKX for example) as it takes so much longer jacking the vehicle 4 times rather than twice.
And here's the result:

qwxilvr....As gorgeous as I was expecting and remembered! These wheels really brings out the beauty in the TLX, and while I was somewhat lukewarm to them initially, it is once I saw them in person and on a TLX that I fell in love with them.

Thanks for the info on the center jack positions. My other car didn't have the ability so I had to do the 4 wheel shuffle. I've already got my new wheels/tires and I'm looking forward to a little less precipitation this week so I can get them put on.
Your car looks great with those wheels and I agree that a better option should have been put on the upper level trims or at least as a reasonable option.
