Wondering if anyone, particularly those of you that work for Acura dealerships or know people at one have any idea on when the Slate Silver Metallic color will be produced and available. I've checked inventory on many dealerships throughout the country, even around Ohio and can't find a single Silver TLX. I ordered a 4 cylinder base, and I'm wondering when I may be able to expect it. Thanks in advance for any helpful info!

It looks like the target production dates are between Sept. 9 and 13th for the first two. The following OH dealers have this color on order:

Wow... Not what I was hoping to hear considering every other color is out there but thanks so much for the info!! Just curious... How do you get this info? You work at a Dealership I take it. Can you get that info for south Florida dealerships, particularly Pembroke pines?

They must have prioritized production of certain color combinations. I reserved a 4-cyl graphite metallic with ebony interior and was told that it will be arriving by this weekend. So far, to my knowledge, there have been no 4-cyl models for sale here in Atlanta except for the demo car that I was able to test drive a couple weeks ago.

Well the funny thing is the first vehicle that rolled off the production line was slate silver... however you'll notice that most of the cars that the reviewers/auto magazines had were the slate silver... so I wonder if they just produced a bunch in that color specifically for them instead of the dealerships.

my thoughts exactly. That's why I'm surprised... The first one was silver and most of the press reviews had silver. Yet there's not a single silver to be had yet :-(

I have an SSM/Ebony V6 Tech on order with Rallye Acura in Roslyn, NY, and they're supposed to be getting two in early September.

I have a SSM/Graystone on order at Acura of Turnersville (NJ). I ordered it in July and was told delivery would be in October. Do you see an order for them in that combination?

Will do... really hoping it shows up in time for the weekend so I can spend some time cruising around and get a more detailed review posted. I was originally going to hold out for a SSM but changed to the GLM after seeing one in the showroom.

We should all have voted the silver as the worse colour ever! That would have prompted Acura to flood the market with silver first

Ps. What I want is a silver/black shawd elite. In the meantime they can try all the marketing tricks in the book... I ain't buying.

Hmm, both of the the dealerships in my area had the basque red during the first week of release in V6 and then that color the next week in I4... and I thought for sure one had a blue one (not sure about the blue).

You'll definitely see a couple here and there but they aren't as prominent as black/white right now

My local Acura dealer (Atlanta) just got a fathom blue 4-cyl model in today. I guess they are producing this color up front but in limited numbers.

No. I looked at both tech and base. FWIW, no dealer have actually 'ordered' any cars in the 1st or 2nd batch. As far as I know, colors were assigned by Acura and we're getting 'what we're getting'. This month may be our first chance to actually place orders to influence what colors we receive.

Thanks for the information. I would have been much happier if the dealer had just told me that rather than having me think they had ordered one. At least what I want is nothing out of the ordinary and should eventually show up somewhere.

Basque Red and Fathom Blue exist at dealerships in Texas, I believe. If you believe their sites, anyway. I've seen one of each on inventory searches and I think someone took pics of the red one.

My dealer also said they should have a base 2.4 SSM around the same time. Sounds like a batch is being built.

Sorry, I went back to double check, and we did have some control over orders in the 2nd batch. Only the first was directly allocated.

my dealer got a white one v6 tech, a black i4 base, a red v6 elite and red v6 base

Thanks for the information. I still think it will be awhile before I see it though. The dealership has only received 2 TLX's from the first batch so far.

OK that sounds right as my silver order was placed after they received their list of the initial ~50 cars they were getting (which included no silvers)

My graphite/ebony 2.4L TLX Tech is ready to be picked up tonight! They are installing the fog lights now but I will have to make a separate appointment for window tinting. I also added splash guards, all weather mats, and trunk liner. They quoted me $299 for 3M material with lifetime warranty which seems pretty reasonable. I'm trying to make it through the rest of the work day but can hardly concentrate!

Yea no silvers in their first order/allocation probably because they weren't available right away. To make sure I got one, they placed the order. They're a large dealer so I'm sure they get more once they start being produced.

I think the main takeaway from the photos I've seen is that this is "regular" silver and won't need a disclaimer like Forged Silver ..."um it's really a light blue..."

Dealership about 1.5 hours from me has a Slate Silver in stock as of today.... Columbia Acura in Cincinnati, Ohio. I'm thinking about driving over, however it's a tech and I'd want an Advance. It's strange that they got one first when the two dealerships closest to Marysville (Lindsay Acura and Acura Columbus) didn't get any
