Car Cover Anyone
 

Does anyone have the OEM car cover? I know it says "weather resistant" I am looking for something to protect my car mainly from dirt, dust, tree sap etc. Full water proof would be nice but I know its rare for covers to have that so they can "breathe"

OEM price is $275 and I found one on craigslist from someone for $100. Debating to grab that or aftermarket.

100 bucks for an OEM cover? Grab it.

Car covers are tough.

I have an indoor Covercraft for my non daily driver, and love it. The Noah is one of their outdoor covers which they custom tailor for each model. Has 3 different layers, each with a purpose.

Don't know anything about the OEM, but hopefully at $100 it isn't one of those cheap plastic covers that are like the auto equivalent of BBQ grill covers. I've seen people using them, and they always make me cringe.

Any outdoor cover would need to be water resistant, but also breathable, and also have a very soft inner layer to keep from scratching your paint.

Also no matter what you get, you never want to apply a car cover to a car that isn't clean. If it wasn't washed, then at least quick detailed after a recent wash. If not, then dirt on the body of the car will just rub into, and abrade/swirl your paint. It will also get picked up by the cover, and act like sandpaper every time you apply, or remove the cover.
