Buying Used - 2015 TLX V6 Base vs 2016 Accord EX-L Navi/Sense V6

I'm on a budget and need to replace an older car. I can get a used 2016 Accord Sedan EX-L w/ Navi/Honda Sense V6 (<10K miles) for around just over $26K OTD, or I can get a used 2015 TLX V6 Base w/ 32K miles for around $27K-$28K?

The TLX would be certified, so I believe I'd have another 21 months/18K miles left on the factory warranty, plus the extra 12 month/12K miles certified warranty for a total of 33 months/30K more miles left.

The Honda is not certified but it has 29 months/27.5K miles left on it's warranty.

I originally am trying to stick to a $25K budget and the Honda reallly does fit the bill at somewhere just north of $26K OTD. What are all of your impressions?

I actually really wanted a used RDX, but to fit the bill, I'd have to get a base 2WD 2014 model to get close to my budget....reason for the RDX is so I can put a hitch on for my 4-bike hitch rack. On the Accord/TLX, I may have to resort to getting another roof rack or put a smaller hitch on them (so ugly).

There are MANY Accord vs TLX discussions on this forum. I'm always on the TLX side of the argument, but when I see "on a budget", I lean toward the Honda. Just as I would lean toward Toyota vs Lexus, Chevy vs Cadillac, etc.

Just seems like the overall lower costs would be beneficial.

I thought the 13 RDX was identical to the 14 RDX models? You might be able to find a 13 RDX base/tech/2wd/4wd in the same price range as the newer TLX and Honda. I use my 08 RDX with my Saris freedom superclamp 4 bike rack and I can leave the rack on for days at a time, park in the garage with the rack in the upright stow position, and it doesn't mess with my mpgs. I've even just dropped the rear seats of my RDX and tossed just my bike in the rear if I was too lazy to attach the bike rack. You can't get that kind of flexibility with a sedan.
