Best MPG so far......

I see this has been answered. Thanks @RocketsFan.
When I measured it once before I found it was off 0.5 MPG, so I would be happy with 37.5 MPG in Sports mode at 75 MPH.
I experienced the same all the way back to my 2002 Civic Hybrid and my 2006 TSX. For my TLX, I've noticed the car is about 1.5 MPG higher on the display than I measure at the pump. However, for the mostly highway trip, they were almost identical. So maybe the accuracy degrades if your tank consists of multiple trips as opposed to just a few.

Today I drove home and back to work in the mid to late morning , 26 km of downtown to suburbia and back. Not rush hour traffic but lots of stops. My Idle Stop engaged quite a bit and I averaged 8.6 litres per 100 km, or 33 miles per imperial gallon or 26 miles per gallon US. I did this Sport Mode and my first fill of medium grade (89 octane) vs the Premium fuel I normally use. My driving style was not overly aggressive, but there were moments….VERY PLEASED!

I typical get under 7l/100kms going back and forth to work. Interestingly the new ILX is not much better. The TLX SHAWD is definitely a mileage champ.

I went today to visit some friends that are living 50 km away and I got 8.6 l/km round trip on highway at 120 km/h . Pretty good compared with my old 4G , but like I mentioned before the commuting on stop and go traffic is not too great , I would say just a little bit better than 4G.

I know the EPA mileage figures show otherwise, but I agree with you. Our '13 Accord EX (2.4/6MT) is listed at 34 mpg highway, less than the 2.4/CVT. But without really trying at all, it regularly gets 37-38 mpg, and in sustained highway driving (warm weather) it routinely hits 40-42 mpg. The ED 2.4 motor is really a gem (with even more hp in the TLX). In our car, it will go 0-60 in 6.6, yet still return fantastic mileage. Honda engineering!
