I saw another forum post from a couple of years ago of people taking the 2018 aspec TLX trunk lip spoiler and installing it on their 2016 models. Im interested in buying the 2018 aspec spoiler but dont want to drill holes into my 2016 tech. Can I just snap off any clips and use 3m? will it hold up? Has anyone tried this before?

 

Pretty sure that's totally fine, just make sure you clean the surfaces real well with alcohol, and heat up both surfaces and the tape with a blowdryer until they're hot hot hot before sticking it on.

 

It will probably be fine, but be sure to use automotive-grade 3M VHB tape. Do not use the "industrial" VHB. It will not hold. I chose to drill two holes (for bolts), and am glad I did, because I used the wrong tape the first time, and very well could have lost the spoiler.
