Any Good Deals on the TLX?

I'm in the market for a new/used TLX. Has anyone had any luck in December getting a killer deal? Looks like some dealers are starting to drop prices significantly on 1 year old certified vehicles.

Interested to know what people have been paying.

Members have reported getting up to 7k off MSRP on the SHAWD models (2015).

I've been told by a trusted dealer source:

1. Dealers are getting $3k rebates from Acura on 2015 TLX models through the end of December. Start with the invoice price, subtract $3k from it, and start negotiations from there.
2. December is the best month to get a deal on a luxury car
3. Some dealers start charging their sales team for cars that have been on the lot for a certain amount of months.
4. If you're particular about color, Graphite, White, and Black are produced the most. Other colors will be harder to find.
5. Decline the add-ons that they try to sell you and install them yourself. When I buy mine, I'm going to buy mats and splash guards from this site (https://www.handa-accessories.com/tlx15.html) since they're charging a bunch less than what the dealers nearby are asking.

If you want a killer deal, find a 2015 demo. The dealers can claim more depreciation on a demo the longer they have been using it.

Thanks for the reply. I agree about the shawd. I was offered $36k for a tech sh-awd (out the door). For whatever reason the same dealer is way overpricing their demo. Might just be trying to push me into a new since they have more than 6 tlx shawds from 2015.

Just got a CPO AWD-Tech. It had 5K on it. Yes. You can haggle for a new 2015 TLX for like $35,500 or seek a gently owned one for like $33K. The best thing about the CPO is the "essentially free" extended warranty but then you are a 2nd owner. A friend confirmed the $3K rebate and now they are adding holdbacks. If you love this 2015, now is the time.

How did you get them to replace the tranny?

bitched and complained A TON. to client services. They flew someone from corporate to personally drive my car, and agree to replace it for me.

It's been a while since I've considered buying a new car! I always remember hearing that the week between Christmas and New Years was one of the best times to buy a car. Does anyone know if that's still the case?

Also, is KBB still accurate for invoice pricing?

KBB and Edmunds both will get you invoice pricing. KBB is easier to navigate to though.

I think December, overall, usually has strong incentives from the OEMs. I personally like to go a few days prior to X-Mas, beat the rush, have a great selection of colors, and not waste hours in the dealership waiting to get into finance to sign papers.
