which 3m tape to use
 
just purchased a oem kit for my tlx i know they have screws that hold the moldings in place but i want to know what 3m tape is the best (strongest) to use.

grab you some 3M automotive double sided tape for like $5.

It's called 3M VHB and they make an astonishing number of variations of it. They sell some pre-packaged version of it at Autozone and places like that to trim and emblems and such.

If you're looking for some type of permanency, use any of their double sided tapes after applying adhesive promoter wipes to the surface of the body. It'll never come off unless using a blade or fishing line to cut through the double sided tape.

thank you guys for the feedback
and trust me i did my own research using google
the only problem was every tape they showed look
to be about 1/4 of and inch thick and i wasnt sure if that
would work but when i do get it installed ill tell you the route i went
and post some pics
