2020 Acura tlx auto start
Wanted to know we bought a used 2020 Acura tlx tech sh-awd car. It doesn’t come with auto start but we want to add that. Should we go through dealer or do it on the outside? Approximate Cost?

acura sells one that integrates with the car:
https://acura.oempartsonline.com/oem...ne-38015tz3x20
It will require installation and should be plug and play. No need to cut wires and cause issues.

It requires programming by the Dealer. You may install the plug and play module(I think it's plugged behind one of the side bolsters of the rear seat), but best to check with the dealer first if they would program a customer installed unit. Some dealers don't want to take the risk of having to be responsible for troubleshooting customer installed parts.

You can buy the Remote Start kit from an Acura online parts website like Bernardi Acura Parts and install it yourself with a quick YouTube video tutorial on it. Then take the keys to the dealer and have them program the remote start for $90-$120 and you’re all good to go.
I did this exact thing with my previous TLX and was much cheaper than getting everything done by the dealer
