2015 TLX I4 with Tech
Folks, I am looking to purchase a 2015 CPO I4 Tech. I have been reading a lot about the tranny issues but most of the posts are from last year. Can someone please suggest if the issues are resolved with updates from Acura? I like the car and technology it comes with vs. Avalon/ES350 that I have been looking at.
While test driving, I noticed the steering vibrations when idle but I have been told that it is because of the cold weather. I have to go back and test drive it one more time but so far did not notice any tranny issues. I also saw a post of someone saying that they did not find any issues while test driving but the issues surfaced when they started driving it day to day. Any suggestions?

Check the build date on the driver's door jamb. Later is better. Mine was a Sept. 2014 build and through TSBs and updates hidden in a nav/instrument panel update the early issues are gone on my 2.4 Tech. I am, however, trying to identify a couple of intermittent electronic glitches, It's more of an annoyance than a major issue. See recent thread from me.
I'd say go for it. The warranty on CPOs is one year and 12,000 miles longer, I believe.

The Warranty is definitely a year longer but the interruptions would be annoying to say the least if the problems are detected after the fact.

The build date is inside the driver's door jam. It could have been on the lot for a while. That said, mine is an Oct 14 build, Nov delivery, 7000 serial, and the updates resolved some minor transmission issues. No problems at all.

Be careful when reading about transmission problems on the forums - some don't specify which model TLX and the transmissions are vastly different between I4 and V6 models. Just a suggestion

I've got an early build (bought in Sept of 2014) and mine is 95% fine. Some minor quirks with the DCT and oddball stuff (rain sensing wipers) but nothing that would stop me from buying it again. I really like mine - rides smooth and is nice and quiet! Plus it's a chick magnet!

qjj123...as wlkeel stated, many of of the more serious concerns/complaints have been with the V6 and its 9 speed tranny. I wouldn't be as concerned with the 4 cylinder.

CPO is 7 year 100K miles. Not sure if its bumper to bumper or powertrain only. And the issues are a hit or miss so I would take it on a LONG test drive and see if it has tranny is vibration issues. Maybe ask if you can take it on a 2 or 3 day test drive if the dealership is nice.

'15 TLX V6 ADV
Mine was one of the first builds, July 2014. I have the V6 Advance, that tranny sucked so much *** even after updates, Acura finally decided I needed a new tranny... Now my car is flawless!

Correct. The V6 9AT problems were not all software related. The 2016s are flawless as well as the replacement '2016' transmissions that went into the 2015s for those who got replacements.

Thanks to all you folks, I picked up my car today evening. I appreciate all the feedback.
I do, however, have a quick question. Is there a way to reset all phone/navi settings? The dealer did not really do a good job of wiping the system clean. Also, does the voice commands adapt to your voice? The current system just does not want to recognize anything I say!

SETTINGS button, System Settings, Other, Factory Data Reset will wipe it clean.
The stored commands start on p. 314, but I don't believe there is any voice training. Using the requested words, lower fan speed, speak to the mirror area from the driver seat, and it should be OK.
