it's always best to do suspension first!
then, you can play with width and offset.....and tire sizes

I would like to kindly offer an alternative point of view.

Wheels can be mounted and dismounted in an hour or less in your own garage. Suspension on the other hand ends a shop basically and a lot more time and an alignment afterwards. Much more involved. If you get the suspension and regret the rough ride or uneven drop (potentially), it is much more of a commitment to that part as opposed to wheels which could be swapped and sold fairly easy. I always suggest that wheels are done first so that you can see if you like it or not. If its cool, then leave it. if not, then you can commit to dropping it. I would much rather have a set of wheels without a drop than a drop with OEM wheels. The drop always makes the wheels look more tucked in and smaller by one inch, I guess its just the wy the suspension travels and the illusion of it all. Maybe I'm biased, but after over a dozen sets of wheels, I have come to this conclusion, lol.

to prove my point, this car has no drop and even though it could use one, it's not all that bad and rides like a dream:

Nice

Wow yea they look nice and don't necessarily needs a drop of course if you like the look but I like it looks COOL and I guess depends on the look of the wheels ?, So what size of wheels are those. Thanks for your comment appreciate it. Well I'm thinking on getting 18 or 19 niche Verona M150 or the niche Milan M135

^ Those are 20" RonJon Inspire type II wheels, hub centric and specifically built for the 4G TL as you can tell. Your welcome for the comments.

I've always said to do suspension first so you can really see how much space you have, but everyone likes to go about it differently!

When you decide it's time for coilovers feel free to check us out: Excelerate's Honda & Acura Store - Japanese Performance Specialist - Homepage

The TEIN Street Basis are a great set of coilovers if you're looking for an affordable way to lower you car without compromising all your ride comfort.

Happy modding!

whichever way, people decide to do it, there are many factors that come into play...
ride height, tire size, camber degrees, wheel dimensions... all these factors come into play.. and there's no right or wrong way to do it, as long as you take in account for these factors

I'd sort out the suspension first, then you'll be certain on the wheel fitment.

Could you elaborate on the specs? Width and offset?

If you're not going with super aggressive specs (meaning no stretched tires) on the wheels then wheels first. But if you're unsure of what wheels to buy and will run an aggressive fitment then suspension first. If you are planning on lowering it anyway, then suspension first. I personally installed coilovers first since I wanted the lowered stance over new wheels as I wasn't sure what I wanted on my 4G. Depends on what's more of a priority to you.

nah its always suspension first then you can calculate how much clearance you got by how low you really want to go.
