Type R wheels on 4g SH-AWD

Hey all,
So I’m going to be trying something and haven’t seen anything on it yet. Getting a set of 2017 Civic Type R wheels (20x8.5) and 255/35ZR20XL BF Goodrich tires for my white 2012 TL SH-AWD. I will be posting pics once it’s on. It’s currently sitting on 19” oem wheels. Any thoughts or has anyone tried this?

not sure if they are 5x114.3mm or the 5x120mm that the TL needs! If it's the 5X120 they should fit!

Yes the Type R comes 5x120. All other Civics are 5x114.3.

Don’t know if you tried it yet, but we had a black one show up on Type R wheels recently at my dealership. OEM tire size as well. 245/30R20

Wheels look great I'd love to see more pictures from other angles. Those tires are much too small though. You could fit a deep dish pizza inside those wheel gaps.

Wheels themselves look nice, in my opinion, they would look better on a white TL than the black

I used 255/35 BFGoodrich tires and the center caps are from an ILX.

Just a thought, getting some NSX rims via after market. I have seen some CIvic Type R users using 4 x rear NSX rims.

Did you have to run spacers?

I recently threw the Type R wheels on. 245/35R20 tires.
Way heavier than stock wheels and noticable when turning/accelerating.
I think they look dope. I've got a slight red accent theme going on with the car so I'll keep the Honda center caps for now. Red caliper paint.
No adjustments, spacer, etc made to get them to fit.
Since this picture I've gotten tint and chrome deleted the rear section. Need to work on the delete for the side, front, and wrap the roof yet.
