Tires and interior rattle

Hey guys, i understand alot of people with the tl are affected by interior rattle noise. Will switching from stock tires to some more expensive / better tire resolve rattles? If it worked for you, what tires did you opt for? I'm shawd model

i can honestly say.. your tires are not the cause of the rattle.. switching tires wont help.

find the area that is rattling and fix it.

Yeah, what ^^^ said. I have the same issue. Some minor rattles in my headliner as well as the seatbelt adjustor on the driver's side. It seems to be pretty common in 4G TL's. Make sure it's not your sunglasses in the holder that's causing the issue...that wouldn't be a first.

I read somewhere that if you remove the headliner there are clips or something similar that can be taped down to eliminate the noise. You can also dynamat the rear deck as that may be a cause as well (or have dealer take care of it).

Good luck!

High performance tires tend to have more rigid sidewalls and thus an even rougher ride on the SH-AWD TL. They will make the rattles even worse.

Maybe your tires are out of balance? Are you feeling a vibration from your steering wheel also?
