Time for tires 2010 SHAWD--suggestions?

2010 TL SHAWD 245 45R18

I'm OK getting a set of the stock Michelins but is there something better for about the same price?

Thanks in advance.

not sure if you are looking for a all season tire (this is not)

Going Highest to lowest price with some info:

OEM Michelin HX MXM4 are Grand Touring Tires, 50K mile warranty, $243 each on tirerack+ shipping. Tires are great all around but don't excel at any one task besides comfort.

Michelin Pilot Super Sport are summer tires, no mileage warranty and $235 each, some of the best summer tires you can get. Great performance tires, the compound is soft so they won't last as long as the OEM tires. Will be louder in the car and comfort will be reduced due to stiffer sidewall.

Pirelli CINTURATO P7 ALL SEASON PLUS, $188 each plus shipping and 70K mile warranty. Grand touring tire like the OEM tires. Very quiet, grip decently well in wet and dry conditions like the OEM tires but are nothing special to write home about. A great alternative to OEM tires if you don't really care for the performance aspect. Good in most weather conditions including light snow.

Continental DWS-06, Ultra High Performance All Season tire, 50K mileage warranty, $173 each plus shipping. Tires are excellent all around whether its Dry, Wet or Snow. It's old version, the DWS could easily go though a foot of snow and tear up curves nearly as well as summer tires. I have bought 2 Sets of the older DWS and plan on going to DWS06 once they wear out. Very quiet and comfortable tire just like Grand Touring tires, but with the added performance benefit!

Continental DW, Summer tires, no mileage warranty, $152 each + shipping. I've gotten 35K on my 760 from the front tires and 25K from the rears. These tires are almost as good as the Michelin Pilot Super Sports but nearly $80 cheaper each.

I just put a set of Continental DWS 06's on my 2010 TL SH-AWD,

WOW.

Tires handle better than stock, and are only very slightly noisier.

I recommend these tires.
