Suspension upgrade

During a couple of spirited driving through twisty canyon paths, the SH AWD system proved its reputation. But my cornering confidence was not all that high due to the amount of body rolls compare to my buddy's 350z.
So I am looking for something that can reduce the amount of body roll of the car and also maybe increase high speed stability.
Any products that can satisfy my needs??

Sway bars do wonders for body roll. Not sure whats available for the 4G, but that right there will give you the best ROI when it comes to performance. They are fairly cheap and give you very good performance gains! You can also lower your car with new springs or coilovers, but i would definitely start with the sways!

Here's a thread that might have some usefull info: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...highlight=sway

I know they have one for the FWD, not so sure about AWD, but worth contacting the vendor.

I have the Progress RSB on my 3G and hands down its the best mod i've done for suspension improvements!

If you want to reduce body roll I'd recommend springs or coilovers and a sway bar. We had proposed having a sway bar made but there seemed to be no interest at the time. We can resurrect the project if others are interested. Or we can try the FWD sway bar by Progress to see if that will work on the AWD TL. The bars look similar so I'd imagine it would work. PM me for further pricing and info.

Depending on how low you go a camber or toe kit may be needed, particularly in the rear.

Sway bars are the best to get rid of body roll.

Were to put a rear sway bar on a AWD TL, would it cause oversteer problem?

^^^^^

It really depends on how much stiffer the new rear sway is vs. the OEM one. If way too stiff, it CAN change the dynamic of the OEM tuning from mild understeering to oversteering. The solution then is to add in a stiffer front sway to dial the handling back.

That's why it is best to replace sway bars in a complete set, unless one is very experienced in tuning suspensions.

I'd be interested in an engineered solution for the AWD and I agree that it only makes sense to do both the front and backs and not just one or the other. Just installing a sway bar that's a couple mm larger then stock without major r&d and real life testing is a waste of money.

Progressive makes an adjustable RSB. You can dial it in according to your liking.

You are comparing a four 4 door 4klbs car to a purpose built sports car...good luck and lets us know how the "mods" work out for you
