Stagerred set up tire size
Just need a 2nd confirmation that the following will work:
245-35-20 front
285-30-20 rear
and/or
235-35-20 front
275-30-20 rear
I used the online calculators and the diameter and revolutions come up very close.
I am picking the rims/tires tomorrow but the shop is installing:
245-35-20 front
275-30-20 rear
I think it is wrong size.

Besides the fact that this is a FWD based car and bigger wheels/tires in the rear will simply add to the understeer issue...

honestly how can we even confirm if you dont give us wheel size and offset? lowered? fenders shaved? etc..
its like asking if a shoe fits without letting us know what size are your feet..
those sizes will fit if you run 20x8.5 +55 all around LOL

sorry, I wasn't specific. I was more concerned regarding the overall diameter and revolutions because these need to be pretty close otherwise the AWD can be messed up.
Discussed with the shop again and they will go with:
245-35-20 front
285-30-20 rear
As for rubbing it will be close, I hope it will not rub. the rims are 20x9 for front +35, 20x10.5 for rear +45
Will be there in about an hours so we will see how it works out. Wish me luck.

your going to cut it very very close with that 285 size tire.
you might need to roll the hell out of your fender. fronts are ok, it will be tucking. id go wider in the front.
tire height
245 - 3.43mm
285 - 3.42mm
Rim Diameter
245 - 679.50mm
285 - 679.00mm

A bit sad was unable to make the rims work. So I have to go with 20x9.0 all around. The 20x10.5 in the rear was sticking out quite a bit. We tired 285/30/20 and 275/30/29 but no way in hell that it would not rub even with rolling fenders.

I just don't understand why you'd want to run that size in the first place.
OP, if the glove doesn't fit...
Buy a Cadillac CTS,CTS-V.
Don't try to make a TL into something it's not.

I wanted the 285 in the back to make the rolling diameter work and not to stretch the tire. Sorry for sounding like a teenager but I have to say it looked sick with the 285 on. But as mentioned above no way in hell it was going to fit with just a fender roll.
On a good note the guys at the shop managed to put 245 in the back and it actually works. I was afraid it would be stretch too much but surprisingly not too bad. Only rubs when I have around 180lbs in the trunk.
Was a a local body shop trying to get fenders rolled they tried but said their tool will not work on the TL. So I have another appointment all the way in Markham to give it another shot.
If anyone know someone in Mississauga that could do it that could help.

if i were you, id roll my fenders first then mount the tires up for test fit. maximize your clearance space.
im running a 255 right now but i can run a 265 if i wanted to.
245 is small for 10.5 imho.. i would run bigger
