RJ fully forged dt-3 wheels

I ordered a set of fully forged DT-3 wheels from Ron. It was a lengthy process, but the wait was well worth it. During the process Ron made himself available for me to contact him anytime I had questions or concerns in reference to the wheels.

The setup was all him. I was clueless about how to achieve a close to stock quality ride while at the same time going with a bigger sport luxury wheel. With Ron's guidance I was able to achieve this.

I received the wheels yesterday and had them installed this morning. I am on the fence about a one inch drop with Eibach Pro Kit Springs. Once I can confirm that the tires won't rub and the body kit will not scrape it’s a done deal.

Alright here are the specs and pics:

*20"x8.5", with a 40mm offset, 5x120 bolt pattern, 3" chrome lip

*Machined Face, Liquid Graphite between the rivets and in the center

*245/35/20 Michelin A/S Plus Sport Tires, no drop..

Thanks Ron...

Stay away from Eibach, get h&R or Tein. I have Eibach and hate them, the ride has been harsh since day one. I have a 40 mm offset and they are 20x8 and I do not get any rubbing at all, I don't think with 8.5 that there is going to be any rubbing. By the way your TL is looking really good.

Wow, Rondy did you good-those RonJon wheels look terrific!

I just got the H&R Sports Springs and really love them. I can recommend them for your 4G too.

Honestly I do not know. Wasn't something I was really concerned with when I picked this design out. When they arrived the only thing I could think of was getting them on the car. They are definetly lighter than the previous version being that they are forged.

Thanks.. and yes I agree dropping the car really cleans up the appearance. Your TL is very nice by the way..

Approximately 26 lbs per wheel. The hardware to keep the wheel bolted together is standard, and that adds to the weight. The only way to really get the weight down is to use the more expensive titanium rivets. Then you might be at the 23 lbs per wheel zone. Then again, Monoblock forged with all the weight saving options would be the best way to save weight. Still 27 lbs per 20" is an awesome weight considering stock 17" wheels are about 25-26 lbs each.

Pics look great Harvey, let me know if you need anything anytime! Thanks for your patience!

BSM's got to go. They do not protect anything.

Great choice on wheels but I think the machined face with raven black highlights would fit better with the white paint.

Those body side moldings are located too low to be useful.

Most door dings are formed on the top 1/3 portion of the door panels, by the upper protruding part of the rear doors on the offending cars.

looks fantastic.... agree with the others... needs a drop, and H&R springs are the way to go!! unless you want the Tein SS... looks like Florida, so a low drop wont kill your car

LOL.. nope, I like the BSM's and they add to the look of the styling of his car IMO. BS about them not protecting anything, I have seen that they DO work. No, they don't stopp all of them but even one less ding is worth it to me.

You guys just don't like the way they look.. which is fine, don't buy them. Most of us with them, like them.

Thanks Stew, I bought my TL off the showroom floor and they were already on there. I fell in love with the car immediately when I saw it, and the BSM's when I first saw them I thought added style to the car as well.

The next mod will be to make all of the interior lights LED as well as change the tag light to an LED bulb and that will just about do it for me..
