Rear end whine sound

Rear end whine sound
Hello All. Recently my 2013 Acura TL Advance FWD rear end started to make a whining sound above 30MPH. I thought it was the OEM Michelins because I just crossed 40,000 miles. I wanted a new set of tires anyhow, so I opted for a set of Toyo Extensa HP 245/45R18's. Too early to tell but they ride nice and are certainly quieter then the Michelins.
Unfortunately we still have a low whining sound from the rear so it wasn't just the tires. I'm wondering if this is normal for all of you or do you think it could be rear bearing or something else? Thanks in advance for chiming in.

Perhaps a wheel bearing is starting to go bad.
Is the whine consistent throughout all speeds, or does it get louder the faster you go?
If you haven't solved the issue by now, has it gotten any worse?

To test if it's a beating drive while it's at it's loudest and the swerve left or right of the noise goes away on turns it's the bearing as the load is shifting it relieves it and noise gone. I'm guessing you have the propeller shaft noise mine made a whining screech much like how brake pad idicators make when the pad is too worn and the tab is hitting the rotor. I was quoted 1300$ to have it fixed at the dealer.

Not too sure why folks keep on bringing up propeller shaft, but you don't have one, OP. Except for the second poster, did anybody realize that his car's a FWD?
Anyway, I'd guess wheel bearing, FWIW. Keep us posted, please!
