OEM Parts For Tein Coilover Install?

Hey whats up guys, quick question...I just bought a set of Tein SA coilovers for my 09 SH-AWD. Besides the stock top hats are there any other OEM parts I need to get from Acura for the install? Only asking because the performance shop is telling me one thing but Acura is telling me another...and I don't want to end up spending $ on parts I don't need that I can't return.

I got the TEIN SA installed about 4 months ago. I ordered these https://www.heeltoeauto.com/honda-ge...h-awd-ua9.html no more parts were needed and no extra parts were left over hope this helps.

What parts is Acura telling you that you need? Is it the dealer telling you that?

When I installed my coils I didn't use any OEM parts. I just replaced the stock ones with the new ones. However, I later replaced the stock upper control arms, outer tie rods and sway bar end links. That was more of preventative maintenance though, not requirements for the coil install.

Thanks alot man I think I'm gonna order these and call it a day. Acura was charging $260 for a bunch of parts they weren't even sure of. Btw your drop looks amazing bro thats exactly the look I'm going for. How low did u go front and rear? I'm keeping the stock Tech 18s on for now but don't know exactly where I'm gonna set the height at.

I basically took the list of parts that LostProphet had put up on a similar thread a while back to Acura but some of the parts that he put up weren't for the AWD TL. I got a diagram printout of the suspension setup from Acura and took it to a shop...they showed me what I needed but when I took that info back to Acura they told me some of those were only for the FWD model.

I dont know how much the drop is I took the coilovers and the top hat kit to a local shop and told them I wanted the gap between the tire and fender gone but not slammed to the ground. You will need to get the car aligned after the install the parts they may be reffereing to is a rear camber kit as I had negative 2 degree camber in the rear I decided not to do the camber kit after I put the new wheels on as the negative 2 degree camber is keeping the rear from rubbing its a tight fit. New wheels are a 20X9 35mm offset with a 245/35/20 tire. When I installed the coilovers I had the factory rims 19X8.5 245/40/19 tire here is a pic.

Depending on the mileage of the vehicle some people have replace some of those oem parts that lastprophet linked. As you said he must have a FWD and linked the FWD part numbers so if you want just look up the SH-AWD equivalent parts. Its not at all necessary but seems like a good idea to do while replacing the suspension if you've got some decent mileage on the car. If not I wouldn't bother. Mines dropped about 1 and 1/4 inches all around and ill post some pics of it on the stock tech 18's later when I get home. I think its about the same height as greg2350 is at. Maybe slightly lower as im at -2.5 camber in the backs.

Still looks good even with the stock 19s...I might have to go a little lower with the 18s to get that clean gapless look
