OEM 17" Rims To 18" Rims, Are The Center Caps The Same?

I called a few dealers in the area to see if I can buy the oem 18" rims and just transfer the TPMS sensor as well as the center caps over from my pre-existing 17" rims, but none of the salespeople know the answer to that question. Please help!

the TPMS sensor can be transferred easily. once you have the new rims on the car you just drive around for a bit and have the system pick up the signal from the sensors again.

I'll bet "yes" on the center caps. I mean the hub size is the same, so .... .

The parts department at the dealerships have been telling me that the parts number are different.. does that matter?

For 17" rims : Part #44732-SY8-A100
For 18" rims : Part #44732-S3V-A01

anyone? =(

The 17" part number isn't right - no part listed.

Can't you just try one out? Maybe?

Sometimes part number differences matter (i.e. don't fit), sometimes they don't matter(vendor change, for example).

Oops, the 17" center cap part number is this:
44732-TK4-A00

I don't have the 18" yet, I'm going to order the 18" from oemacuraparts.com soon. If the center caps are different and I need to buy new ones, I might as well buy it through them and combine shipping.

wow.. I just realized how cheap I sound.. trying to save on shipping.. haha.

Looks like they are different, but I don't what's different.

The 18" is used on some 4G TL trims, some MDX trims and the CL. The 17" is only on some 4G TL trims.

Could be a "look" thing, could be a "fit" thing.

If you get a set and have a chance to try both, post back and let us know if the fit is the same or different.

Thanks for the info Bearcat, I'm going to order a set that's specified for 18" wheels and let you know if it'll fit on the 17" as well.
