Nokian WR G2 all season tires? Should we go with them?
Hello friends,
I live in utah. This place has quite some 5 or 7 big snowstorms during the winter season. and about 1 to 2 foots dept. I am driving the base TL 2009. And the Bridgestones tires seem not to handle really well on this condition.
So, you think I should go with the nokian WR G2 because they look good (according to youtube video and some reviews) or we just originally do: Winter tires for winter season.
All season tires or summer tires for Spring and Summer?

+1 on the winter tires.
If you like Nokian, I'd get either the Hakkapeliita R or RSi tires. I had a set of them on RWD BMW and they performed great in the heavy snow on the east coast and hear in the Rockies. They're sometimes hard to find locally here in Denver, so I went with a set of Dunlop WinterSports and they've performed flawlessly in two winter seasons.

Yes you should get a set of dedicated snow tires & wheels. You should also go with Bridgestone Blizzaks. Have 2 sets on 2 separate cars and they are awesome in the snow.

Go ahead and get the Nokian WRG2 because THEY ARE really a snow tires because they also have the "winter sign logo" on the tire. When you drive on a dry road, the road noise is reasonable.
I live in Calgary Canada, I have an AWD model and used them for the winter. I tried Michelin, Toyo and Dunlop winter tires but the Nokian All Weather tires are the best...I can't believe they are this great~
I had them 2 winter season already and the tires are still perfect for this year bad Calgary winter, perfect for deep snow and mainly no problem with the icy road~~ Sudden stop, start at a traffic light, no problem.
Turst me you'll like it.
