New tires and brakes... any recommendations?
Time for 4 new tires. I'm naive about what makes a good tire and I am hoping to get a recommendation or two.
I live in San Diego, so I don't need all-weather snow-capable tires. Comfort and quiet is what I'm seeking primarily, then after that, a balance between mileage and life of the tire and not spending a fortune.
I have had a problem with the existing Continental Extreme Contact DWS's that I'm replacing, in that they tend to jerk the wheel side to side a little when you change lanes and hit the lane markers. That really really bugs and need the next tires to not do that.
Does anyone have any recommendations for such a tire?
Secondly, after getting 96,000+ out of my original brakes, it's time to replace them too. I had such good results with the OEMs, I'm inclined to get them again but wanted to throw it out there to see if there's any suggestions on that.
I'm thinking of using Evan's Tires in San Diego since I have a lifetime alignment on the car through them...if that matters.
Thank you forum gods.

We've always had good luck with the Continentals and Michelin's. The DWS is great all year but really shines in the summer.
In terms of brakes, I highly recommend one of our Stoptech brake packages. We offer them for the 4G TL at very reasonable pricing for a complete set of front and rear pads and rotors. We have them in stock with Premium Blank rotors, Slotted rotors, or Drilled+Slotted rotors.
Acurazine Brake Packages ACURA - Excelerate Performance - Japanese and European Performance Specialists!!

As far as brakes go, you can improve them but it's dependent on how much you want to spend and what you want to gain.
With 96K miles on the rotors, it might be time to replace them. Almost any rotor you can buy will be like the factory one, easy to warp. Since you haven't had an issue with them I'd stick with some simple blank rotors from any major brand. If you have warped the rotors and needed to turn them, then I'd recommend upgrading to Racing Brake, Stoptech or another performance brand.
As far as pads go, I would Highly recommend Racing Brake ET300 or ET500 (more aggressive pad) with almost any rotor.

i just put DWS O6 on my 2010 TL SH-AWD--excellent and handle better that the stock. Drive harder, even in the rain.
Get Akbono, video show the replacement process.act 1102 and act 1103. excellent stopping, no fad and no brake dust.
