My new wheels, 20" Verde Parallax

Hey guys, just got these nice looking wheels installed. They are 20" 20X9 ET35 all the way around. Nicely wrapped in 255/35zr20 Michelin. To me, they are a perfect set. Lowered with Tein S Springs about 1.5 inch. A look that I always wanted to have. The only problem is it rubbed a little in the rear. Getting my fenders roll will take care of it. Is that I cant find any place to do it in Jacksonville, FL. Do you guys know anyone that does? Thank you and here are some pics.

Wheels and drop look great. Ask an aftermarket performance/rim shop if they do it or if they have any recommendations. Are your front mudflaps scrapping yet?

Look really good, nothing like a five spoke wheel design. There's a member that lives in Jacksonville and he has a fender roller, his name is Matts acura. In this same thread he has a long thread about his build, his always willing to help members and he seems like a cool guy, see if he would help you.

When I saw the tool you'd be using to roll them I cringed. The ones professionals use is intricate and a bit tricky to use. To my surprise it looks like you did a really good job .

Nice job bud. That's the "poor man's" way of rolling fenders lol. Normally it's done with a wooden bat.

I knew this tool was available, but I didn't want to fork out 150$ or wait for it to come in. I would used a wooden bat but I didn't have one. So I had to use what I could find around the house.

Oh lawd! Who are these people?! I've seen fenders "flared" if you can call it that, via wooden bat, but never rolled.

Thanks Matt.

So I bought these Verde wheels on craigslist. I love the drop and the wheels but the setup is box 20x9 35 with 255/35/20. The front is good and the rear is rubbing. So I did my own rolling and I still hear rubbing noise. I checked it again and it was rubbing at the tab (where the rear bumper screw on to the body). The guy at Sun Tires said going down to 245/35/20 will take care of it? What you guys think? Will this tire size do it?

Shaving the tabs will save you some money lol. This is the route most member went with. I'm for certain getting 245/35 now lol as I will be buying tires soon. BTW, you should ask one of the mods to move your thread to the Photo gallery since this is like a build/progress thread.

Eeeek... Had I known you were that unconcerned with cracking the paint I'd of done them for you... I try not to do other peoples cars myself cause I don't wanna crack the paint... If you want the roll smoothed out now that you've taken the PVC to it i'll do it... We did one before I got the tool with a huge socket so I know that approach comes out with a ton of waves... but going back with the tool smooths it out well... and I can trim those tabs down...

Yea I cracked the paint a little it and it does have waves. I guess it didn't heated up enuff. I didn't know what to heat it up to and I don't wan to burn the paint and have a dark spot. I really didn't mind waves because is behind the wheel well. You really can't see it or feel the waves unless you running your finger behind it. I will have those tabs gone when my camber kit arrive.

So after the first alignment and I drove the car for 500 highway miles. It felt like the car sway (fish tail) very bad and the steering wheel is very responsive. I felt very unsafe driving it. So I ordered a set of J-powers full camber kit and installed it myself. I loan the tie rod puller, ball joint press, and a torque wrench from Auto Zone and finish the job. Very simple to install and didn't take that long to put them in. I went and get the car alignment again. The guy at Sun Tires was pretty nice for waving the fee because I install the parts myself therefore it voids the first alignment warranty. Anyway everything are align and all in the green. I test drove the car again and the car felt like it was fish tailing again and minor steering wheel shake at 70+ mph. Went back and told the guy what happen and how it feel. He said that because I have lowering springs with stock shocks, 20" wheels low profile tires it going to be like that. He said wheel balancing only rated up to 60mph and suggest that I take it to a tuner shop. He also suggest that I raised the car back to stock height. I like the car being dropped, but I hate it driving so crappy. What I have to do guys??? Do I need sway bar or what am I missing here? HELP!!

Stock shocks and lowering srpings have nothing to do with the "sway" feel. Sounds like your toe is off on one side.

Also ensure the new ball joint camber kit is torqued to spec, and the spec is Hulk range.

It has been couple weeks since I last messed with the car. I was discourage by the ride quality after being lower and bigger wheels. I love the looks, just couldn't get to near factory. Nothing with the springs or shocks. Just the steering wheels feeling loose and a little vibration at the steering wheel. Already have it balance couple times. I refused to have to weight on the outter lip so that could be the problem. Anyways, I got these caliper covers on ebay and thought I would share with you all. I choose gold over red, cuz most people already paint their red. It made of ABS plastic and I just use RTVs to glue them on. I had to cut it to have it fit on right. Only spent $20. What you guys think?

Meh, to each his own. Oddly my friend suggested this a couple days ago and I was against it for obvious reasons. I told him I would buy Acura caliper covers before fake Brembo covers. However, it does not look too bad.

I had my wheels put on last week and the car was shaking when I go past 70 mph. The shop who mounted them didn't really do a high speed balance so I had it balanced again at another shop and the tech suggested I add weights to the front of the wheels as well. I didn't like the idea at first because it took away from the clean look but he hid it behind the spokes and it does not look bad at all. I can still see some of it at different angles but it didn't bother me. I just wanted the vibration to go away and it did. I don't mind sacraficing a little bit of the clean look for a better driving experience.

just my opinion.. but no one is going to believe you got brembo calipers.. its obvious that there is something behind it.
