Mileage on stock Michelin AS Tires - 18 inch

What kind of wear is everyone getting on the stock Michelin 18 AS tires? I'm especially interested in hearing from AWD owners.

Mine have about 18K on them and still show a lot of tread life. I do tend to, ahem, use the SH-AWD feature.

Thanks.

I have FWD with about 40k. My service advisor said to expect another 10-12k out of them. I honestly can't wait to replace these awful tires.

I'm close to 20k, still a lot of tread left on the tires... looks like it'll go 40 to 50k before wearing out... and I use the ahem, SH-AWD feature occasionally as well

I'm @ 28k and wear hasn't been too bad. I'd be surprised if I don't get 40k out of them.

Since about 25k, I can effortlessly squeal tires on turning launches, so the inside edges are giving.

I see a lot of haterade about these tires, and while by no means are they spectacular in any fashion, I've never had any complaints about them for stock tires. I don't think their wet traction is bad; they're okay in the snow, and they're not nearly as noisy as the Hankooks or Potenzas I ran on my S2000.

The same tire on my 07 went about 25k, but I only owned it for half of that.

Are you talking about the stock Michelin HXMXM4?
71k. I do mostly highway driving. These tires SUCK but I wanted to get the most out of them.

My next set will probably be Bridgestone RE970AS Pole Position. They have better reviews that the Conti DWS which is the reason I will be buying them before October.

the traction with the oem michilen tires is soo bad, that from a stop in the rain i can without even trying, get all 4 tires to break loose, and thats with the traction control on....

my 07 type s was almost uncontrolable from a stop in the rain....you really had to baby it off the line....

38k on mine and still some tread left. I estimate that they'll need to be replaced around 45k.

I have 30K on my original tires and plan on replacing them with Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires. I had them on my 2007 Audi A4 and my 2008 TL. They were quiet, gave a better ride, handled well and gave great traction in the snow. Just my $.02.

If you all don't mind me switching the subject a little. When did they switch from Michelin to Bridgestone on the 4G TLs?

I'm at 23k and have 7/32nds left. On my Accord that I traded in, I was at 54k with 4/32nds. These tires seem like they'll last just as long, somewhere in the 60k range.

I got 53,000 miles pretty much on the dot out of mine before they got down to 3/32 and 2/32 tread and needed replaced. I did roughly 3/4 highway driving on them, but when I could, I did a lot of spirited driving.

I replaced my tires with those exact same Bridgestones and they're a decent improvement by far. I have not driven them in summer temperatures, but then again they are an all-season and performance shouldn't differ too terribly much. They're quiet enough and grippy enough in a corner than the Michelins. The only downside is that they are rated at 40,000 miles, so we'll see how long they last!
