Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus

I have read several posts in other threads that have noted considerable outside edge wear on these tires and I am experiencing the same thing.

Has anyone had any luck with getting a discount on a replacement set, or any kind of refund, etc. with these tires?

I'm only having issues with two of them, which is likely due to not rotating them in a timely fashion, so I'm at fault to a degree. Just wanted to check the situation before I go looking for something else.

I don't want to replace all four tires right now as I'm facing a timing belt, suspension and brakes all at the same time.

Thanks in advance.

I had these tires on my 07 Impala SS. According to the Impala forum, and personal experience, the edges wore quickly in the first few thousand miles, and my gas mileage wasn't great. Called Michelin and Chevy, they both agreed to put more air in the tires from 32 to 35/36 pounds cold. Problem at that point was they wore in the centers (as expected). So bottom line, bail out. lol Michelin may lend a hand on perhaps half off as they did for me on the car. If your tires are all wearing pretty bad on the sides, they could consider a manufacturer defect, however it depends. Hope this helps.

Thanks. After looking at it more closely, I really only have one tire that is wearing on the edge and it is the driver front tire. Not sure what the issue is, but my mechanic said it may have to do with having something wrong with the suspension in the rear. Does that make sense?

Regardless, I may just try to pick up one tire for now since I'm having other work done as well and don't want to lay all that cash out at one time.

That does make some sense, hearing about this in text and not in person. Perhaps a toe issue or strut mount? Good luck.
