Megan Coilovers for FWD and AWD Now Availabile

I was just reading some past threads and saw Danyoung's posts about Megan coilover prototypes...

I just checked their website and it looks like they are now in production and available for order. I don't know if anyone wanted or was waiting for them... but here are the links:

EZ Street Series (FWD/AWD) $799: http://www.meganracing.com/product_d...=1490&catid=86

Street Series (FWD/AWD) $999:

I'm only posting because I just know the aftermarket for our cars is very limited, so the more choices and options, the better for all of us. So i'm just making sure everyone is aware there is another option besides xlr8 and tein.

I know @Danyoung has prototypes on... maybe you could post pictures and a review @Danyoung?

I'll do a full write up when I have time for both with pictures.. As for the prototypes I have on they are production models without the Megan Racing product logo. I will pick up an EZ and street series set when I'm down there to compare both products.

To start, the stock TL ride was VERY comfortable and I liked it. It's a luxury sport sedan and I daily drive it through the canyons. My drive is approximately 38 miles round trip to work, through the canyons where elevation changes roughly 175-250ft throughout the one way drive. However, I was hesitant to push the car and I drive very aggressively. Immediately from day one when I got the coilovers I lowered it 1’’ in the Front/Rear. Sitting in a lowered TL…man what a world of difference. You feel the center of gravity shift, it is day andn ight (Level of adjustment was at 16F/16R). The ride was a firmer than stock and the sportiness of the car really began to come alive. After 1000 miles of driving I adjusted the ride closer to track specs 10F/7R, this car can handle the canyons, honestly I did not expect this from just a set of coilovers but I’m sure anyone who has a set can vouch for me. I’ll make a video tomorrow of my commute through the canyons since the weather has been beautiful of late. I guess the video will speak for itself, other than the wait for the full write up.

I've been shopping for some coilovers and have it down to tein ss or megan street series. How many miles you had them on for? Any squeaks or rattles or any kind of issues you ran into so far? I don't believe these are rebuildable either?

I had them installed in November and have never taken them off nor done any adjustments (other firmness) to them. I installed them at 45,800 miles and current 55,xxx. (I’ll have to check later when I get to the car). So roughly 5 months I put 10,000 miles on the car and I have not seen or heard any issues inand out of cabin. I do drive aggressively and have had the first 1000 miles set at 16F/16R. I really like the stiff ride because of my driving habits and they deliver the performance handling I’m looking for. As far as rebuildable goes…I was givien some struts I could replace if they were blown.
The ride is much more immersive now, I will include some clips later when I get the chance. I can demonstrate what my definition of aggressive driving is; I drive my TL hard everyday.

@DanYoung, When you are not pushing the car, how is the comfort level? I'm driving the sh-awd, and I don't want the comfort level to be diminished, but I would like a firmer feel in the twisties. If I go this route I would probably opt for the EZ, as I spend more time driving my car moderately then I do pushing it hard.
Thanks for any insights!

I replied to your PM.

I'll ask I can probably ship them to you if you don't have a retailer up there. I'll relay the message to MR.
