Call tein up and ask them if it will fit, i ordered the SS coilovers with EDFC and had to call them to find out if the coilovers would fit the 12.

There seems to be a lot of love for the H&R springs.

Can you make sure you take some before and after pic's for us. I am really interested in them but need to see some good photos before I make up my mind.

Thanks.

I had the opportunity to drive in a 2012 Tl Sh with the H&R springs and was surprised how well it rode.

If you are looking for a mild drop with near stock comfort and improved handling then you will be happy with these springs.

What if any impact does the H&R's have on the OE dampers?

Based on what i have read it seems that the springs will shorten the life of the oem struts, the way you drive, the condition of the roads/highway,tracking the car etc will all impact the life of the oem parts. Our car being relatively new with low mileage should last a while.

I would really like to lower my car and have spoken to several members here including two mechanics, they all feel based on what i am looking for the H&R springs is the way to go.

If you are looking to slam you car, track it or want total control over height and damping then coilovers would be the obvious choice, some people that have gone with coilovers complain about having to be careful and avoid bumps, manhole covers, sloped driveways etc, overall i think you need to consider what is important to your needs and make a choice based on that.

I lowered my Scion tC (bought it brand new in 2004 when they first came out for MY 2005). A few weeks after I bought it brand new I put some Tein H-tech lowering springs on it, which provided a similar drop to the H&Rs on the TL (only about 1-1.5"). I drove the car for almost 40K miles and the struts were just as good when I got them as when I got rid of the car. No signing of leaking, definitely not blown.

I know it might be apples to oranges compared to the TL, but OE struts on a $14K (at the time) car vs OE struts on a $40K car... I assume that even stock for stock, TL struts are of higher quality.

I really don't think the H&Rs are going to kill the life of the struts on the TL. The H&Rs drop the car about as much as stock springs with couple of 200 lb adults in the back seat.

But the stock shocks are not designed by the factory to load up with a couple of 200lbs adult 24/7 in mind.

The H&R Sports are a great setup. The ride is similar to what an A-Spec suspension might be; sporty but not stiff.

You can technically install FWD on AWD and vice versa. The drop will just be different. However, TEIN makes FWD springs. Just check out our website.
