H&R Springs on SH-AWD - review/opinion

^ a lot of folks around here will tell you to get coilovers from the gate as opposed to buying springs. I wouldn't buy coilovers unless they come with dampening adjustment as well. The Tein SS or the XLR8 (ISC) coilovers would be the ones I chose if I went with coilovers. Springs only will possibly wear the stock shocks more than the stock springs, however, it may not be as quick as some people will have you believe. Lastly, the stock shocks have a range in which they can move with the car. This is decreased with lowering springs and could possibly affect the handling of the vehicle when pushing it in the bends (bottoming out of the shock).
Anyway.. thanks for the info guys. I was mostly concerned with the alignment specs with the springs alone.

Quote for truth, so many different variables will determine this, road conditions, mileage per year, how often you drive around with a car full of passengers etc.

I recently dropped my '13 awd on the H&R's and my rear is about -3*. The mechanic did it as a side job for me on his day off at the Acura dealership. He couldn't get the back within spec.
Has anyone had the same problem?

sorry to say, your mechanic sucks.. i rode dumped on my tein ss without a camber kit for about a year and the camber was within specs.. if your mechanic cant align a car that has been slightly lowered and my mechanic can.. then you need a new mechanic.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Acura's don't have camber adjustments out of factory. So doesn't that mean that your camber will be natural and might be -3 (which I think is a lot for H&R spring drop) and that can't be changed without a camber kit? I'm pretty sure (and this goes for TSX and 3rd gen TL's since I know they don't have factory camber adjustment) that in order you actually set your camber to 0 with a drop, you would in fact need a camber kit no matter what.
An alignment is used to adjust not only your camber, but also your toe and caster. As long as your toe (since I don't think Acura's have caster adjustment either) is correct then you'll have no issues with improper tire wear.
