Terrible?

They are rated "good" or better in every category except "light snow", "deep snow", and "ice" traction.

Also low on "would buy again", perhaps $230 a tire influences that decision? Tire rack's cheapest tire is $162.50 shipped to me. Are they worth an 80% premium?

I'd say a good tire at worst. Considering $90/each for an OEM tire this is an excellent buy.

I'm not looking for just good tires. I ordered the Hankook V12s ($176/tire) to replace my factory Michellin PS2s ($311/tire). FYI-These are 19s for the HPT option (245/40ZR19). I chose these based on keeping the same general specs as Max Performance Tires (plus the $avings). I hope they compare well in actual use though. But sorry for saying the saying the reviews on the $90 tires were terrible. I just wouldn't replace my PS2's with those based on the reviews (and specs). It is all a matter of perspective.
