Forgestar Wheels

Found these wheels...thought some of you might be interested. Made in USA, custom colors, custom offsets, lightweight (approx 25lbs for a 19x8.5). It's a pretty new company (2 yrs)...that has gotten awards etc. Nice pics of exotic cars, pricing seems to be reasonable around $400 / wheel.

Their most popular models are the F14 and CF5. Unfortunately they have discontinued the brushed titanium and black / machined options. Still some interesting choices available.

What do you guys think? Pros / cons? Link to company site is below.

I like these wheels a lot. I considered a set for myself when I was looking for a summer set. The only con for me was no rim lip, but thats a personal choice, this time around I wanted a bit of a lip. I don't really think you could go wrong with a set of these.

Having second thoughts on Forgestar...last week I called and was able to speak with someone to answer my questions. Yesterday I tried calling several times throughout the day and the phone was always busy...finally when it rang it went to voice mail. Also sent an e-mail to ask someone to call me and nothing.

Ticks me off too that they discontinued the most popular brushed titanium option...and wonder if it was due to quality issues?

This is moving down on my list...another company that looks really interesting is VMR....will post that on a separate thread.

So what's the scoop on why the popular brushed titanium and black/machined options have been discontinued? Can the CF5 be customized in a hyperblack color similar to the hyperblack on the VMR VB3 wheels?

Thanks
