Exhaust sounds

Recently upgraded to a 2012 TL and the ride is silky smooth and quiet. I'm looking for a more aggressive sound without having to upgrade full exhaust system.

A friend suggested an Axel-back with bigger resonators... is this true? Any comments or advice will be deeply appreciated!!

If you want it louder, you want to delete the cats and resonator. An axel back wont get the sound you desire.

You probably want to either look at a cat-back from xlr8 or ATLP. High flow pre cats or pre cat deletes will free up some power and change the sound a bit as well.

The best way to get a more aggressive exhaust note is our XLR8 catback exhaust. The j-pipe, PCD's, and high flow third cat will not change the exhaust note as much as the catback.

Do you have a FWD or SHAWD? there are some member that got an intake, j pipe and cat delete and it sounds good too (find videos on youtube). I have the ATLP catback with a J pipe on my FWD and it sounds very aggressive.

I noticed you're in the bay area too. where are you?
