Dropped on OEM 18's?

Anyone have a pic of their car dropped on the SH AWD OEM 18s?

Just got new tires a while back and don't want to invest in wheels and tires.

I dropped mine for a bit on 18's. My signature has a link to my picture thread.

This is one of the few 4G's that's lowered on 18's and actually looks good: http://googtl.acurazine.com/forums/s...d.php?t=838127

Allon Acura(zine) misses you!

What others have you seen that you don't like? What don't you like about it? Just curious. I will make my own decision, obviously, but I am curious.

The new OEM 18's look like crap, the wide spokes make the wheel look tiny. The 09'-11' 18's were much better. "If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all", is something I live by so I won't mention names, although I'm sure members will know it's their cars I'm referring to regardless.

Dramatically lowering cars with OEM wheels (non aggressive offset) make the wheels look sunken in. It makes me think of youngins with accords/civics/altimas/mazdas/etc, that want that vip look without the bankroll to obtain it. So if you do lower it with OEM wheels, be modest and keep it clean. I also don't like unncessary camber.

I have spacers, so mine are not as sucken in...except for right now as I am taking it to the dealer to find my vibration issue with what tire so they can do that without spacers....looks a little weird sucken in right now.

I know the car you speak of and I agree I wanted to barf as well. It looked terrible. I still want the car to look good and be a daily driver. So its at the lowest it will go for now til wheels come then it might be adjusted a little to make those look good.

Here is my 2010 SH-AWD 6MT lowered on H&R springs. I agree the wheels look a little sunk in but I plan on getting new wheels soon. I think it does look a lot better than stock though. And the 2010 18" look a lot better than the new ones.

pretty much.. i mean why ride it when the road conditions do not permit it.. i sometimes put them on for like 2 weeks then when i cannot bare the ride i swap back to oem stocks.

i am planning to get 25/25 spacers to offset the sunken look tho. also these gunmetal looking 18's look sick on a cbp.

Pot when you switch wheels doesn't that throw your alignment off? Or you don't worry about it since you're aligned for stock setup and rarely run 20's?

So I have those gunmetal 18"s on CBP and would like to know what spacers I need to have the wheels/tires flush with the fenders. Also what type of springs, etc. do I need to drop it slightly to make it look a bit more aggressive. Nothing major with the OEM wheels, but a little more. Also, I am gonna black out the front and back silver and smoke the light plastics and put a little tint. Need advice on the tint too.

switching wheels/tires does not do anything to alignment. Only adjusting the suspension does.

Maybe he doesn't, but I assumed when he puts on the 20's that he adjusted suspension to achieve a flush look?

^^^^^

One can crank up the positive camber setting to line up the top outside edge of the tires against the metal fenders to get a flush look , but that will screw up the tires.

Car looks good. I live in NJ and I see you live in NY. How much has the ride changed since the H&R install being that the city streets aren't the greatest? I have the H&R springs but am hesitant due to the roads up here.
